History of the boat photo
The photo I chose for this page is from the Jamestown settlement near Williamsburg, Virginia. They have several replica boats in a dock on the water that visitors can walk into and discover really how small the space was that our ancestors travelled in. It is unbelievable that they crossed the ocean in these dingys. I don't remember off hand which boat I have pictured above--I'll have to research that and make it for another post. The picture was taken in the summer of 2003 during a family vacation.
